RGB Tools (Color Luminosity and Color Mixing) by EmiZ
Description:
Two useful identifiers: $rgblum that calculates the luminosity (percentage of shadow or hilight) of a given colour, returning an RGB value; and $rgbmix that calculates the mixing of two colours with a percentage (useful for pseudo-transparency stuff), also returning a RGB value. Demo included (/rgb_tools).

isn't rgblum the same as rgbmix with FFFFFF or 000000 as a second colour?

yes, but calculations are pretty faster...
