I tried some examples with this. I'm not sure if i understand what the returned number represents, but i noticed that when all numbers are the same (eg 30 30 30 30), the result is zero. I think that this is what i really need, but i dont know how to use it because what i actually want is, a way to know if the numbers in parenthesis "tend" to increase or "tend" to decrease.


Let me tell ya what i'm actually doing so you can figure out the problem:

Some employees are giving some kind of tests periodically. They achieve a "score" each time, form as percentage (eg, 90%, 77%, 81%, 50%, 68% etc). I want to show if each of these employees tends to be better, worst or is static (this is what i call "progress").
